Mohammad Zubair Shafiqi

I was born and raised in Afghanistan, where I helped my family run a grocery store while attending school. When U.S. forces arrived, my father began working with them, and I grew up bridging two cultures—supporting cooperation and understanding.

In 2014, we moved to the U.S. seeking safety and a better future. I started working in a warehouse and volunteered with Habitat for Humanity to give back. Over time, I took on various jobs, always dreaming of owning a restaurant.

During the pandemic, I bought a food truck but delayed launching it. Instead, I began supplying rice to Afghan Kabob, where I was later offered a life-changing opportunity. With hard work and dedication, I became a partner, and eventually the sole owner.

Today, Afghan Kabob Palace is my way of sharing Afghan culture, food, and hospitality. We welcome everyone as family and invite you to enjoy the rich flavors and warmth of Afghanistan.
